Greg D. Larson DDS, FACD, LVIF

Dr. Greg Larson attended the prestigious University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1999. He understands that the best professionals never stop learning, and he attends approximately 200 hours of continuing education every year. In 2007, after completing a rigorous two year curriculum in Cosmetic and TMJ rehabilitation which resulted in a Fellowship award, Dr. Larson was awarded a clinical instructor position at the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) where he mentors and trains hundreds of dentists across the world. LVI Global is a superior dental education center, which focuses on live patient aesthetic and full mouth treatment and intensive postgraduate training. He is passionate about helping dentists hone and perfect their skills, and he believes there is no substitute for continuing education, training and hard work.

Dr. Larson is also passionate about bringing his patients the highest level of quality and service that modern techniques and technology can provide. He has recruited a highly trained team who understands his commitment to excellence and commit themselves to excellence as well. Dr. Larson and his team are excited to bring their knowledge, expertise and smiling faces to Bay Area and San Francisco patients. The Larson Dentistry team strives to make personal relationships with their patients, and they know patient experience is the ultimate measure of a dental practice. Dr. Larson loves his work. He loves perfecting gorgeous smiles, advocating for superb oral health and encouraging each individual’s total well-being.

As a neuromuscular dentist, Dr. Larson helps patients find the ideal rest position for their jaws to alleviate pain and discomfort associated with the TMJ. When a patient’s teeth and jaw are out of harmony, the patient can experience head, neck, back and ear pain. Dr. Larson believes with the correct diagnosis, treatment and care these problems can be corrected.

Dr. Larson holds fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry and is on fellowship tracks with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (AACP) and the International College of Craniomandibular Orthopaedics (ICCMO). He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics and the Academy of Laser Dentistry.

When he isn’t treating patients, Dr. Larson enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and their two daughters in their Marin County home. He also enjoys water sports, and he is a former Olympic Team alternate and U.S. National Swim Team member. He recently became the 17th person of all time to swim the 23 miles across Lake Tahoe, and he competes in triathlon races such as the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon.

Dr. Larson gives back to his community in several ways. He is a 13-year member of the Guardsmen of San Francisco. The Guardsmen of San Francisco provide at-risk Bay Area youth with scholarship and outdoor education programs. He partners with the Delancey Street organization and donates his dental services to participants starting new, drug-free lives. He also finds time to head coach a local swim team, Swimarin, after work in the spring and summer seasons.
